Cookie Policy
Last updated: May 2026
This Cookie Policy explains which cookies and similar technologies (e.g.
localStorage, sessionStorage) are used on
uiweaver.io, for what purpose and on what legal basis. The legal basis is
§ 25 of the German Telecommunications-Telemedia Data Protection Act
(TTDSG) in conjunction with Art. 6(1) GDPR. Optional storage mechanisms
are only set after your express prior consent ("consent-first").
1. What are cookies and similar technologies?
Cookies are small text files sent by a web server to your browser and stored on your device. localStorage and sessionStorage are browser-side storage mechanisms (HTML5 Web Storage API). While not classic HTTP cookies, they also fall under the broad scope of § 25(1) TTDSG ("storage of information in the user's terminal equipment" and "access to information already stored therein"). The rules below therefore apply to both categories.
2. Detailed use
2.1 Strictly necessary (§ 25(2) No. 2 TTDSG)
These storage mechanisms are technically required to provide the website function. No consent is required.
| Name | Storage | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
uiweaver-theme | localStorage (not a cookie) | Stores light/dark mode preference | Until manual deletion |
uiweaver-cookie-consent | localStorage (not a cookie) | Documents your consent decision | 6 months (ePrivacy Directive) |
Note: both entries are kept exclusively in the localStorage of your browser and are not transmitted as HTTP cookies to our server.
2.2 Reach analysis (consent required)
These cookies are only set after your active consent via the consent banner. Legal basis: § 25(1) TTDSG in conjunction with Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. We use Google Analytics 4 with IP anonymisation enabled.
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga | Google Ireland Ltd. | Distinguishes users | 2 years |
_ga_* | Google Ireland Ltd. | Persists session state | 2 years |
Onward transfers to Google LLC in the USA are safeguarded by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (adequacy decision of 10 July 2023) and, additionally, EU Standard Contractual Clauses. Details in our Privacy Policy.
2.3 Marketing cookies (consent required)
We do not currently use marketing or retargeting cookies. Should a marketing function be introduced in the future, it will only be activated after your consent via the consent banner.
3. Do Not Track
If your browser sends a Do Not Track (DNT) signal, we automatically decline all optional storage. No consent banner is shown and no analytics or marketing scripts are loaded.
4. Managing your consent
You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future. To do so, click the "Cookie settings" link in the footer of the website. This will reopen the consent banner so you can adjust or withdraw your selection.
Alternatively, you can delete the uiweaver-cookie-consent
entry in your browser settings under "Local storage" and reload the page.
You can also block or delete cookies and localStorage in general via your
browser settings. Please note that this may impair certain features (e.g.
your theme preference will no longer be remembered).
5. Controller and contact
The controller for cookie use is DexterBee GmbH, Industriestraße 13, 63755 Alzenau (see Legal notice). Cookie-related queries: privacy@uiweaver.io.
6. Changes
We will update this policy whenever our use of cookies or storage technologies changes. The last-updated date at the top of this page reflects any changes.
