Our Approach

01

Listen

Every project begins with silence. We study the site, the light, the history, and the people who will inhabit the space. Four to six weeks of research before the first line is drawn.

02

Conceptualise

A single unifying idea governs every decision. Material, form, and proportion emerge from this concept. Nothing is decorative — everything load-bearing.

03

Detail

Structure is not separate from beauty. We work with engineers and craftsmen from day one — ambition meets physics in every joint.

04

Build

We supervise construction personally. The gap between drawing and building is where most architecture fails. We close it.

The studio

Three cities,
one practice.

Founded in 1997, the studio has grown from a two-person practice in Copenhagen to a global team of 85 architects, engineers, and designers working across three offices.

We believe the best architecture emerges when ambition is grounded in deep local knowledge. Each office is led by a partner who was born in the region they serve.
